Included in this extensive legacy are works such as Sagrada Familia, Casa Batll\u00f3, Park G\u00fcell and La Pedrera, converted into the architect&#8217;s universal icons, as well as more modest commissions hardly known by the general public.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Despite their little impact, the latter type of projects, which encompassed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dosde.com\/en\/illustrated-biography-gaudi-visual.html\">Gaud\u00ed&#8217;s student period<\/a> up to his mature period, also show the stamp of the ingenious architect, one of the finest exponents of Modernisme.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Ciudadela Park<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/qa-dosde.qamoon.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/parque-ciutadella-gaudi-barcelona-arquitectura-dosde-publishing.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-988 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/qa-dosde.qamoon.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/parque-ciutadella-gaudi-barcelona-arquitectura-dosde-publishing.jpg\" alt=\"Ciudadela Park Antoni Gaudi\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In 1876, while he was still studying for his degree in architecture, Gaud\u00ed worked with Josep Fontser\u00e8 on the construction of the Ciudadela Park in Barcelona, a large public garden <strong>located on the site of a former military fortress<\/strong>. Gaud\u00ed participated in the design of the gate and the lamp posts of the site, decorated with allegorical details of medieval influence, and developed the hydraulic project of the monumental waterfall, one of the park&#8217;s main attractions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Lamp posts of the Plaza Real and the Pla de Palau<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/qa-dosde.qamoon.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/farola-plaza-real-gaudi-barcelona-arquitectura-dosde-publishing.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1036 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/qa-dosde.qamoon.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/farola-plaza-real-gaudi-barcelona-arquitectura-dosde-publishing.jpg\" alt=\"Lamp posts of the Plaza Real Antoni Gaudi\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In 1878, the City Council of Barcelona commissioned Gaud\u00ed with the design of the gas street lamps to be used as part of the the decoration of Plaza Real, which was <strong>one of the most striking public spaces of the city<\/strong>. In 1889, the City Council installed two more lamp posts designed by the architect in the Pla de Palau, near the seafront.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Bleaching Room of La Obrera Mataronense<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/qa-dosde.qamoon.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/cooperativa-obrera-mataronense-gaudi-barcelona-arquitectura-dosde-publishing.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-982 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/qa-dosde.qamoon.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/cooperativa-obrera-mataronense-gaudi-barcelona-arquitectura-dosde-publishing.jpg\" alt=\"Bleaching Room of La Obrera Mataronense Antoni Gaudi\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Belonging to a cooperative association dedicated to the manufacture of textiles, these industrial premises located in the town of Matar\u00f3 were built in 1883 by Gaud\u00ed, who also designed diverse dwellings and facilities to be used by workers\u00a0 that never got to be built.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dosde.com\/en\/books\/antoni-gaudi.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3643 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/qa-dosde.qamoon.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Boton-descubrir-mas-EN.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"56\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Finca Miralles<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/qa-dosde.qamoon.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/portal-finca-miralles-gaudi-barcelona-arquitectura-dosde-publishing.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-984 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/qa-dosde.qamoon.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/portal-finca-miralles-gaudi-barcelona-arquitectura-dosde-publishing.jpg\" alt=\"Finca Miralles Antoni Gaudi\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Between 1902 and 1903, Gaud\u00ed designed the wall and the gate to the main entrance of the property that printer Hermenegild Miralles owned in the old municipality of Sarri\u00e1. With undulating design, the gate is crowned by a four-armed cross, one of the symbols characteristic of Gaud\u00ed&#8217;s architecture.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Bar Torino<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/qa-dosde.qamoon.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/bar-torino-gaudi-barcelona-arquitectura-dosde-publishing.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-983 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/qa-dosde.qamoon.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/bar-torino-gaudi-barcelona-arquitectura-dosde-publishing.jpg\" alt=\"Bar Torino Antoni Gaudi\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Italian businessman Flaminio Mezzalama contracted Gaud\u00ed in 1902 to design one of the rooms in the Bar Torino, <strong>a modernist style establishment<\/strong> located on the corner of Gran Via with Passeig de Gr\u00e0cia. Of Arab style, the room planned by Gaud\u00ed disappeared in 1911, when the Torino closed down.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>La Miranda<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/qa-dosde.qamoon.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/la-miranda-gaudi-torre-mateu-arquitectura-dosde-publishing.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-985 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/qa-dosde.qamoon.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/la-miranda-gaudi-torre-mateu-arquitectura-dosde-publishing.jpg\" alt=\"La Miranda Antoni Gaudi\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In 1906, the influential automobile entrepreneur Dami\u00e0 Mateu commissioned Gaud\u00ed with\u00a0 a second home for his wife on the property that he owned in Llinars del Vall\u00e8s, near Barcelona. The architect planned <strong>a look-out tower of cylindrical shape<\/strong> topped by a dome <strong>adorned with trencad\u00eds<\/strong>. Damaged during the Spanish Civil War, the building was demolished in 1962.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Chalet de Catllar\u00e0s<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/qa-dosde.qamoon.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/xalet-de-catllaras-gaudi-pobla-lillet-arquitectura-dosde-publishing.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-986 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/qa-dosde.qamoon.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/xalet-de-catllaras-gaudi-pobla-lillet-arquitectura-dosde-publishing.jpg\" alt=\"Chalet de Catllar\u00e0s Antoni Gaudi\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Commissioned by Eusebi G\u00fcell, Gaud\u00ed&#8217;s major sponsor, this building of functional design was constructed by the architect in 1904 in order to lodge the technicians and managers that worked in mines in the Catallar\u00e0s mountain range, a few kilometres from the Pyrenees.
